Independence day is right around the corner and itโ€™s time to see the yearly traditional sparkle in St. Louis skyline.

Let Them Eat Art

Friday, July 7 | 6 pm โ€“ 10 pm

Let Them Eat Art is a celebration of the arts and a whimsical tribute to Bastille Day.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of Let Them Eat Art, featuring live art demonstrations, musical performances and kidsโ€™ activities, plus food and drink from Maplewood restaurants. Maplewood retailers will have extended hours and offer special event-only promotions.

Sunday Brunchinโ€™

Sunday, July 9 | 10 am โ€“ 2 pm

โ€‹โ€‹Join 4 Hands Brewing Company the first Sunday of the month from April through October for Sunday Brunchin' at the Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park!

4 Hands will serve drinks, along with STL Barkeep. The Balkan Treat Box food truck will be there, along with Honey Bee's Biscuits + Good Eats. Live, local music will also be featured at each family-friendly event.

Sculpting Sounds with Laura Ortman

Experience the โ€œsculpting soundsโ€ of White Mountain Apache musician and artist Laura Ortman. 

Ortman will play a solo set inspired by HeavyShieldโ€™s aiyo niitahtaan (2023) and other works included in the exhibition, Faye HeavyShield: Confluences.

Water Ceremony with Anita Fields + The Wah.zha.zhe Puppet Theater

Join Counterpublic and enjoy a water ceremony with artist Anita Fields, performance by The Wah.zha.zhe Puppet Theatre, and a conversation between Dr. Andrea Hunter (Osage Nation) and Fields, sited at her WayBack installation adjacent to the mound.  

These events at Sugarloaf Mound underscore Counterpublicโ€™s ongoing commitment with the Osage Nation to support the rematriation of the mound as a core component of the Counterpublic 2023 exhibition.

Presented with support from the Tulsa Artist Fellowship and the Osage Nation Foundation.

Jamminโ€™ At The Zoo

Sip and savor adult beverages and enjoy live entertainment at this adults-only event!

Jamminโ€™ at the Zoo is hosted by the Zoo Young Professionals, a group of adults in their 20s and 30s dedicated to the continued success of the St. Louis Zoo. Proceeds from this event help the Zooโ€™s conservation efforts here and around the world.
