The Great Hybrid Debate

It’s safe to say that the move to return-to-office is well underway. That said, the workplace looks quite a bit different than it did pre-2020. Whether your organization is back in the office full, part or no-time, the verdict is in: hybrid work is here to stay for many companies.

At KMG we are adopting what is now widely referred to as “structured hybrid”. Our approach empowers our team to have trusted flexibility while also encouraging in-office time for in-person collaboration.

A recent TIME Magazine article states that the average minimum days required is 2.53, with both two days and three days being popular, he says. Tuesday is the most popular day required, followed by Wednesday and Thursday. Few offices require a Friday presence, and only 24% require a Monday presence.

Our approach is critical to how we are able to show up for our clients and our teammates and deliver excellence while benefiting from some of the research-backed advantages of a flexible work environment. Effective communication and collaboration tools are essential for our success. Video conferencing, phone/messaging apps, project management software, and cloud-based file storage are our top technology-based tools to facilitate remote work and constant team collaboration.

We provide continuing education to our employees around how to make the most out of our hybrid experience. Hint: good judgment, disciplined flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.

What is your company’s approach to return-to-work? How is it working? We want to hear!
